CV2380 low-power magnetron

Size This valve measures 51x17mm overall and has a B7G base.

This is a low power pulse type magnetron using spatial harmonic operation. It carries the serial number 201, and internally the numbers 362 and A5022.

Heater voltage 6.3V
Heater current 200mA
Nominal operating frequency 9400MHz
Magnetic field strength 2450 oersteds
Max pulse anode voltage 1000V
Max pulse anode current 100mA
Max mean input power 2W
Min pulse output power 100mW
Max mean anode current 20mA
Max pedestal voltage * 400V

* Under pulse conditions, the maximum pedestal voltage is the maximum permitted DC component of the total applied anode voltage. The current from the pedestal voltage source shall be limited to 5mA. The use of a pedestal voltage simplifies the modulator design so that a simple blocking oscillator can be used.

The magnetron in its holder, which consists of a B7G socket and a bakelite housing. This holds the valve into the waveguide assembly.

Above is the waveguide assembly with the valve installed in the right hand side. Below is a closeup of the rear showing a small hole. This area is presumably where the necessary magnet would be positioned.
